Walter L. “Bucky” Marzean, Jr., 87, of Vineland, NJ passed away late Thursday evening October 9, 2014 at home where he had been under the care of family & hospice. Bucky was born & raised in Vineland where he remained a lifelong city resident. He was the son of the late Walter L. Marzean, Sr. & Mary McGuire. He was also pre deceased by his grandson Christopher Corwonski, sisters Mary Sauer & Wanda Renshaw as well as his brothers Paul & Allen Marzean.
Bucky began his working career at Warren Lumber Co., he then went onto work at Lowenstern’s Plumbing & Heating before becoming self-employed owning & operating Remodeling by Walt Marzean which he operated in Vineland for many years. Before retiring in 2011 with over 20 yrs of service, he was employed by the City of Vineland as a housing inspector. He was a longtime member and had served 3 terms as President of the North Italy Beneficial Association. Bucky enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, golfing, watching football and most of all spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 67 yrs.; Sylvia (nee Devonshire) 5 children; Sylvia Jones, Michele (John) Mangini, Michael (Betty Jean) Marzean, Mary (John) Thomas, Gail (Richard) Del Valle Son in-law; Andrew Jones 14 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren 1 sister; Barbara Bond As well as many nieces & nephews.
Relatives & friends will be received on Monday evening 10/13/14 from 7:00-9:00 PM & again on Tuesday 10/14/14 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland, NJ where his funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville, NJ.
