Obituaries » Rosemary Buono
Rosemary (Dandrea) Buono, 69 years young, went on to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 24th. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends. Rosemary was born in Vineland to parents Jesse and Theresa (Pulaski) Dandrea. Raised on Wood Street in Vineland, she attended Sacred Heart grade school then Vineland High School, Class of 1967. Moving on, Rosemary received her Nursing degree from Cumberland County College in 1970. She worked at Newcomb Hospital for many departments, finding her niche in labor and delivery. After leaving Newcomb Hospital, she went on to work for the Vineland Public Health Department. Rosemary once again dedicated her work to children of need running the Child Wellness Clinic. Rosemary was married for 46 years to the love of her life Robert (Bob) Buono. Together, Rosemary and Bob raised a family of three sons. She was always involved in her children’s education, youth sports, church and family. Rosemary’s greatest joy in life was cooking and spending time with her family and friends, keeping all of the Italian traditions and Catholic values alive. She found joy in seeing the world, shopping, and the Borgata. No matter what, Rosemary always found the time to help someone in need. She developed strong and lasting friendships throughout her life. Everyone was always welcome in her home.
She is survived by her husband Bob Buono; her sons Christopher and Kristen (Albrecht) Buono, Robert Jr, Holly (Manestrina) Buono, and Nicholas and Barbara (Smith) Buono all of Vineland; her brother Anthony and Maryann (Giordano) Dandrea and niece Jana Dandrea of Vineland; most importantly her nine cherished grandchildren; Jesse, Sean, Michael, Elena, Robert III, Luca, Kendall, Kristine, and Nico.
